Beitou Park is a long, narrow park located directly across the road from Xinbeitou Subway Station. It is also located at the tail end of Yangmingshan National Park. The park dates back to 1913. Due to its central location, the park is a useful landmark for locating Beitou’s other attractions. The water fountain at the entrance to the park features hourly fountain shows throughout the day. Within the park are a number of walking trails and public relaxation spots, as well as tourist attractions such as the Beitou Library and Plum Garden. Other free sites worth checking out while in Beitou district: Ketagalan Culture Center, Beitou Geothermal Valley, Beitou Quanyuan Park Foot Bath Area and the world-famous Yangmingshan National Park.
