The Bullfighting Museum (Museo Taurino) in Palaz de Toros de las Ventas is a perfect place for those interested in knowing about bullfighting before seeing the actual event. Various artifacts, artwork, clothing and the history of the sport are on display. Perhaps the most famous of all the memorabilia is the death costume of Manolete, the traje de luces (suit of lights) that the bullfighter wore when he was gored to death at age 30 in 1947.
