Need to satisfy the inner geek in you? Columbia University offers free public lectures on astronomy and stargazing session with real astronomers! This public outreach program runs every other Friday. No RSVP required. The lecture lasts about 30 minutes, and when weather permitting, is followed by 90-minutes rooftop stargazing opportunity. Q&A with the astronomers are also encouraged.
