Iziko Social History Centre boasts a collection of historical artefacts aiming to promote South Africa’s unique cultural diversity. The artefacts cover the pre-colonial archaeology, colonial archeology, colonialism and resistance, domestic and family life, economy and trade, anthropology, and contemporary history. Featured along with the collections is the extensive library that houses some 250,000 pieces of literature.
