Free: All time
Located literally in the middle of nowhere, this gem of a museum – Jesada Technik Museum is worth a day trip from Bangkok, especially if you’re an automobile lover. The museum features all sort of transports including cars, bikes, motorcycles, airplanes, helicopters, and tanks. All these, privately owned by Jesada Deshsakulrith, a businessman and automobile enthusiast. So far, there are more than 500 vehicles at the museum, and all in excellent condition. The admission to the Jesada Technik Museum is entirely free of charge. However, ironically, there’s no easy direct public transportation available from Bangkok to Nakhon Pathom where the museum is located (see below for best option). Some visitors make it part of a day trip with chartered taxi to other surrounding tourist attractions like Museum of Human Imagery, Sanam Chandra Palace, Samphran Elephant Zoo and the Damnoen floating market. The Jesada Technik Museum is about 50km west of Bangkok.
