Locals flock to the former prison island of Långholmen during the warmer months to bathe in its modest beach. Just ten minutes’ walk from Hornstull subway station, it’s a family friendly sandy spot that attracts a mixed crowd of all ages. If the small beach is too crowded, walk east to the other side of the bridge and get into the water from the rocks. See if you spot the old prison!
