Pancake Rocks & BlowholesFree: All time

The Pancake Rocks & Blowholes are unique natural attraction on the western coast of New Zealand’s South Island. A short easy walking track from the road leads through native vegetation and the pancake rock formation. Throughout time, rain and sea water has been eroding the limestone creating narrow ridges and pillars in stacked layers from which the rocks take their name. During high tide, explosive shooting geyser can be seen spraying out of the many blowholes found amongst the rocks.
