Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is a wetland reserve renowned for attracting migratory birds in large numbers. Located in the middle of the city, it represents an enclave of relative wilderness amidst swirling traffic and sprawling urban infrastructure. The sanctuary has successfully attracts over 270 species of birds and it is home to about 500 Greater Flamingoes. Presently there are three birding hides located on the perimeter of the sanctuary open to the public to view the birds.

I don’t think the water taxi will take you to the bird sanctuary, it will only drive you by there.
