The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture is a research unit part of The New York Public Library. It’s recognized as one of the leading institution of its kind in the world. The Center has collected, preserved and provided access to materials documenting history and culture of peoples of African descent. Free programs and exhibitions are regularly offered.
