Free: All time
Toyota runs one of the world’s largest auto showrooms in Odaiba, where about 150 vehicles if some 70 different models are on display. Admission is free. Not only does the showroom have many odd models found nowhere else, it also allows visitors to climb into some of them. The car models range from anything as early as the 1950’s to the futuristic ones. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can request to test-drive cars with prior reservation (not free, around ¥300). The Toyota Megaweb is not only for adults; its virtual thrill rides are kids friendly (not free), making the entire showroom a fun place for family. For serious Toyota fans, however, the Toyota Auto Salon Amlux may be a better place to check out their latest and greatest. While in Odaiba, check out other free things to do in the neighbourhood: Rainbow Bridge, Gundam Front Tokyo, Museum of Sewerage, Museum of Maritime Science, etc.
