The Yauza Valley sits by the marshlands by the Yauza River, north of Moscow. Despite being only five miles away from Red Square, this pastoral neighborhood is jarring compared to downtown Moscow. You’re able to find well-maintained paths and boardwalks that lead through the wetland and the surrounding woods. Along the banks of the river are picnic area, gazebos, playground, ancient churches and manor houses. All these make an idyllic getaway from the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan.
