Having a long layover in airports can be a drag, but that’s not the case If you find yourself stuck at the Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) in transit in between 8 to 24 hours. The Taiwan Tourism Bureau offers a free half day tour: one in the morning (8am-1pm) and a more extensive session in the afternoon (1:30pm-6:30pm). The morning tour goes to Sanxia and Suzhi Temple and Yingge pottery and ceramics museum . The afternoon tour covers some of the best landmarks in Taipei: Taipei 101, Lungshan Temple, the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, the Presidential Office Building, and the Martyrs’ Shrine. What’s the catch? None. But you’d need to show your passport and need to have a valid ROC visas or come from countries eligible for Visa-Exempt Entry or Landing Visa.
