If the only connection you can make from the name Carlsberg is to the beer brand, you’re actually not too far off. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is an art museum in Copenhagen, built around the personal collection of Carl Jacobsen – the son of the founder of the Carlsberg Breweries. Primarily a sculpture museum, its collection include antique pieces from Egypt, Rome and Greece, as well as modern ones such as Rodin’s. The museum is also equally noted for its collection of French impressionists, Post-impressionists and Danish Golden Age paintings.
