The Old Stone House is a replica, using some unearthed original materials, of a Dutch stone farmhouse from 1699. The original was destroyed in 1897. The house was an important location in the Battle of Brooklyn, the largest battle during the entire American Revolutionary War. In 1776, it was used as an artillery position by the Brits against Americans.
