Housed in a four-floor building, the Shanghai Museum is one of mainland China’s best collections of ancient Chinese artifacts. The museum boasts more than 1,000,000 objects, about 120,000 of which are precious national treasures. Its collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, paintings and calligraphy is especially celebrated.
