The museum dedicated to azulejo (tile) is a place to discover the history of this Portuguese cultural icon. Like fado, azulejos are a national symbol and an art form that is unique to our heritage. Here you can find art works from the 15th century, large murals like the huge panorama panel of the city of Lisbon viewed from the river and small decorative ceramics.
